Located approximately 45 kilometers southeast of Vancouver, BC, Langley School District provides services to the Matsqui, Kwantlen, Katzie, Semiahmoo First Nations, the City of Langley, and the Township of Langley. The district is honored to operate in the unceded traditional territories of the Matsqui, Kwantlen, Katzie, and Semiahmoo First Nations. The district extends from the US border, north to the Fraser River, and is neighbor to the communities of Surrey to the west and Abbotsford to the east. The total area of the district is 313 square kilometers made up of four communities. The district serves about 23,000 students and employs over 3,000 teachers, support staff, and administrators. The district has over 40 schools providing International Baccalaureate, French Immersion, Fundamental, and Alternative programs.
Formed in 1906, the Surrey School District currently has the largest student enrolment in British Columbia and is one of the few growing districts in the province. It is governed by a publicly elected board of seven trustees. The district serves the cities of Surrey and White Rock and the rural area of Barnston Island. Surrey Schools has 103 elementary schools, 21 secondary schools, five student learning centres, three adult education centres, a distributed (online) learning program, and a variety of satellite and inter-agency programs serving a wide range of specific student needs. Surrey Schools has the highest student enrollment in B.C. As of September 2021, the district has 74,760 students.

The Burnaby School District is the fourth largest in BC. The district operates 41 elementary and eight secondary schools, including a range of district programs and Provincial Resource Programs. The district is governed by an elected board of nine trustees representing the five communities with a total combined population of approximately 230,000. SD43 is the third largest district in terms of student enrollment in B.C. with approximately 32,000 students in 69 schools.
